TRIAL OF EX-KAISER
QUESTION TO BE ASKED FRENCH GOVERNMENT. (Roc. June 14, 9.20 p.m.) Paris, June 14. In consequence of the acquittal of Max Rondohr by the Leipzig Court a Senator has notified M. Briand that he intends to ask what steps the Government proposes to take to curry out the clause in the Peace Treaty under which the exKaiser must be tried. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
IThe Court at Leipzig, which is hearing charges against war criminals, acquitted Max Randohr, who vyas charged by the the Belgian Government with imprisoning and ill-treating Belgium children at G'rammont In 1917. The Court declared that the evidence was not conclusive, also that the witnesses exaggerated and contradicted one another.] ■
