INFECTIOUS DISEASE
FIGURES FOR LAST WEEK. The number of cases of infectious disease reported in the Wellington health district during the week ended at noon, yesterday was two more than in the previous week, viz., 39 against. 37. The cases reported by the various hospital districts arc as follow: —Waipawa: Scarlet fever, 1; pneumonia, 1. Palmerston North: Scarlet fever, 3; diphtheria, 2. Wellington: Scarlet fever, 3; diphtheria, 15; tuberculosis, 1; varicella, 1; influenza, 1; septicaemia, 1. Wairarapa: Scarlet fever. 2. Nelson: Scarlet fever, 3; diphtheria. 4.
