THE SALES TO GERMANY.
Melbourne April 7.
In the House of Representatives, Mr. Tudor asked Mr. Hughes if it was a fact that over a million bushels of wheat had been sold to Germany at 7s. 6d. to 7s. 9d. per bushel f.o.b. • Mr. Hughes replied that he was unable to supply the information, But he knew no. wheat had been sold to Germany f.0.b.; it was sold c.i.f. The average price of wheat sold for overseps wa B above that which the people of Australia hod to pay.—Press Assn. A FURTHER SALE. Adelaide, April 7; A trade circular lias been issued, stating that an additional sixty thousand tons of wheat have been sold to Germany at 775. per quarter c.i.f. It is stated that this work’ out at fully Is. per bushel less than the Australian consumers are paying—Pres Assn.
