The New Zealand Doan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd, report on their Pahiatua sale held on Tuesday. We had a fair entry of sheen, competition being about on a par with recent sales. We quote: 5-year ewes , 4s. lid.; aged cull ewes 35.; shorn wether lambs (medium). 3s 2d. to 3s. Bd.; cull lambs, Is. 4d. to ’a 9d • b.f. lambs. 6s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd, report on their Alasterton sale held on Wednesday. Me offered a small entry of sheep and cattle to a good attendance. Prices for sheep were slightly better, especially lambs. We «auote: Aged forward condition ewes. 55.: ewes, 2s. 6d.; 18 months Hereford steers. £3 Is. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd, report —At Levin on Tuesday we had a medium''yarding of both sheep and cattle. Although prices wore just a shade better than late rates, the bidding was more spirited. Vendors were more disposed to accept ruling rates and consequently we had practically a. total clearance at the following prices —Light fat ewes 9s. 7d. to Hs.; fat cows. £3, £3 7s 6d £5 to £6 55.; fresh conditioned cows £2. £2 2s. 6d„ to £2 17s. 6d. : weaner heifers 9s, 15s, to 31a.; vealers, 325. to 40s - heifers, close to profit £lO 10s, £l3 5s ” £l4 to £l4 10s.; bacon pigs. £3 7s.
