The Kaikorai will leave Port Chalmers on Friday for Oamaru and Timaru to load for Auckland. The Manuka is to dock at Sydney today,' and sail on Friday for Wellington and Lyttelton.
PORT HACKING FROM PORT KEMBLA. The C. and ,D. liner Port Hacking arrived in port'yesterday afternoon from Port Kembla and berthed at No. 14 Queen’s Wharf. It will be remembered that the Port Hacking arrived here from Auckland and Napier, when the watersiders’ strike was in full swing, and after remaining in the stream for a few days, went across to Melbourne and Sydney. She left Port Keyibla, where she bunkered, at 3 p.m. on Friday last, and encountered rough weather for the first two days of the trip. A fresh to strong easterly wind and rough sea lasted until about Monday, when moderate seas and north-easterly winds were met'with. Captain Jolly is still in command of the vessel and has with him! the following ameers:—First, Mj. T. Kipping; second, Mr. T Hadlow; third, Mr. J. Higgs; fourth, Mr. P. Andrews; chief engineer, Mr. D. Webster; second, Mr. King; third, Mr. Sheehan; fourth, Mr. J. Legge;, fifth, Mr. H. Oolbourne; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr. J. Tait; second, Mr. A. B. Shanks: first wireless operator, Mr. J. N. Kidd; second, Mr. C. Robinson. The Port Hacking has New York cargo for discharge here and should be ready to sail on Saturday for Lyttelton, where she will continue discharge, then going to Dunedin to complete. She loads at Nelson, New Plymouth, Wanganui, and Wellington.
WOODARRA LEAVES LONDON. The New Zealand, Shipping- Company advise that the steamer Woodarra left London on April 2 for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton. Wellington, and Auckland. She is due at Port Chalmers about May 11. BLACKBALL COLLIERS. The Ngahere is due here on Saturday with general cargo from Lyttelton. After discharge she will go to Greymouth. The Ngakuta is to load at Greymouth for Wellington, and is due here on SunThe Ngatoro is to sail to-day for New Plymouth. She will take general cargo. SUSSEX AT AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Sussex arrived yesterday at Auckland from St. John. The vessel has been delayed in' her journey by an accident at Colon which kept her there for a considerable time undergoing repairs. She is due here in about a week's time. . WESTRALIA FROM MELBOURNE. (The Huddart-Parker steamer Westralia was expected to leave Melbourne yesterday for Wellington. She is due here on Monday and will sail on the return trip to Melbourne, via southern ports, on Wednesday. •> The Kapuni sailed yesterday afternoon for Patea, but put back in the evening owing to the heavy seas at Terawhiti. EASTERN PACIFIC RUN. The Union Company have decided on an alteration in the Eastern Pacific run. The Tofua take the Navua’s run to Tonga. Samoa, and Fiji, and the Navua will make the Eastern Pacific run in place of the Flora, leaving Wellington for Auckland to-day. The report that the Flora wiH relieve the Talune is incorrect.
PALOONA TO SAUL TO-DAY. The Paloona was unable to sail last night for Melbourne, but she will get away at noon to-day.
WIRELESS FROM PORT PIRIE. The 0. ■■ and D. Line have received a wireless message from the captain of tho Port Pirio stating that he expects to arrive at Auckland frem London to-mor-row Tho vessel is duo here in about ten days' time and will then proceed to New Plymouth to complete discharge. She will load Homeward in (New Zealand, but her ports have not yet been allotted.
WHAKATANE’S LOADING PORTS. The Whakatane will load Homeward cargo at Auckland, Tokomaru Bay. Gisborne and Wellington. She will sail finally from here.
ULIJIAROA SAILING TO-MORROW. The Huddart-Parker steamer Uliniaroa will sail for Sydney and Hobart at noon to-morrow. The vessel was to have sailed to-day. WAIHORA LEAVES CALCUTTA. A cablegram received by the Union Company states that the Waihora left Calcutta on April 2 with a. shipment of Eastern merchandise for discharge at Cairns (Queensland), Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland about the end of April. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. L. W. Mowat has joined the Wahine as purser, vice Mr. It. Carlyon. Mr 11. 11. Sinclair has signed on the Ngatoro as third engineer in place of Mr. L. S. Brosnahan. Air. J. Legge will rejoin the Port Hacking here as fourth engineer. Mr. Legge was forced to remain here when the vessel last visited port owing to illness, and during his absence Mr. A. B. Shanks, second refrigerating engineer, has been performing Mr. Legge’s duties. The ferry steamer Wahine did not arrive at Wellington till 10.35 o’clock yesterday morning, from Lyttelton. She was delayed at the southern port waiting for the south express, which was over an hour behind time. The Calin is expected here on Frl( iey or Saturday from Lyttelton, and should sail on Monday or .Tuesday for Ljttelton. Timaru, and Dunedin. The Koranui may get away to-morrow for Dunedin. . . , The Komata will not go under overhaul and survey now, but will return to Westport on Saturday. Sho will undergo overhaul at a later date. The Karamu is to eail to-morrow for Greymouth, where she will load again for Wellington. • . T . The John will not go to Lyttelton, but instead will go to Wanganui with benzine, sailing to-day. According to a wireless message received bv the Union Company the Kauri should arrive from Newcastle this afternCThe Opua is due here on Sunday from Lvttelton and should sail on Monday for Nvdia Bay to load timber for Lyttelton. The Rosamond is not expected from Greymouth until Saturday The Corinna is due from New Plymouth to-morrow and will sail on Saturday for Dunedin.. Oamaru, and Timaru, taking general cargo. . The Koromiko after discharging the balance of her Australian cargo at Lyttelton. will go to Newcastle to load for New Zealand. e n nn.
