DAVIS CUP ENTRY LIST CLOSED.

New York, March 16. . It is understood that Canada will ask Australia to come to ’the United States to play off the preliminary Davis Cup match, and it is expected the winner will probably also meet the winner of the Spanish-British match in the United States. It is thought that Japan and the Philippines will play in the Orient, Spain and Britain in England, Czechoslovakia and Belgium in France, and India in Europe, and Argentina and Denmark in the United States. The United States Tennis Association has announced that the entry list has closed, and that no further challenges will be considered. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
