NIGHT ATTACK ON KRONSTADT
FLEEING CHINESE FIRED ON BY REDS

Tho Paris edition of the Chicago "Tribune” states that Trotsky dispatched 40,000 Chinese to carry out a swift night attack on Kronstadt. Verey lights revealed the attackers crossing the ice, and revolutionaries poured out on them a withering machine-gun fire. When the Chinese began to flee the Soviet troops behind fired on the Asiatics, dotting the ice in the gulf with dead. Captured Chinese declare that the Soviet starved them for two days, and then gave out heavy rations of rum and ether, premising them food and permission to lopi in the event of their entering Kronstadt.
Finnish reports state that 5000 Reds went over to the Kronstadt rebels during an attack.

KRONSTADT FORTS CAPTURED BY BOLSHEVIKS

Riga reports state that the Bolsheviks lia*e taken Kronstadt. According to other accounts they have captured some of the forts, and have not retaken the town.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
