WEAKENING TENDENCY CONTINUES.

Shipping freights continue to weaken. Steamer fixtures for Australian wheat, recently at 725. 6d.. are now obtainable at 70s.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Sydney, January 29.
Sir Kenneth Anderson and Mr. ,J. Geddes, directors of the Orient Line, predict a fall in freights, which will still further accentuate the troublesome periods which British shipping is experiencing.—Press' Assn.
