POWER FROM LAKE COLERIDGE
OUTPUT TO BE INCREASED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, January 29. About 1.00 cars went to Lake Coleridge to-dav, taking 500 representatives from nil parts of the North and South Canterbury to meet the Hon. J. G. Coates (Minister of Public Works). One of the worst sou’-west storms on record was encountered, and caused several cars to return to town. _ Addresses were given by Mr. A. b. Henderson (president of the Progress League), Raymond (Mayor of Timaru), nnd Coates. The Minister said the Government, in dealing with power schemes, had considered Hie whole country and not only one section, but itwas proposed to increase the output from Lake Coleridge.
