CRISIS IN AUSTRIA
GOVERNMENT RESIGNING GENERAL STRIKE BREAKING OUT By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. (Rec. January 22, 0.20 a.m.) Paris, January 20. Private advides from Austria state that the Austrian Government is actually resigning, from to-day. A general strike is breaking out. Meetings aro being held throughout the country demanding union .with Germany and threatening to lynch profiteers and speculators. Inquiries at tho London Embassy do not confirm the definite resignation of -the Government. The Minister states that he does not know exactly what has happened at the moment, but he knows the position is very, grave—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. <■ -
