CONGESTION CAUSED BY SHIP . SHORTAGE. (Rec. January - 10.15 p.m.) Sydney, January 12. As a result of the congestion caused by the shortage of ships to export wheat, the Government has stopped deliveries of grain from the country.—Press Assn. BOARD’S PAYMENTS TO FARMERS. Melbourne, January 12. Certificates involving seventeen millions sterling are to be paid to farmers on Friday by the Wheat Board, being .the first payment of 2s. 6d. per bushel. — Press Assn. CHEAPER FLOUR AND BREAD. (Rec. January 12, 10.15 p.m.) Adelaide, January 12. The Prices Commission has reduced the price of flour by ,£l, to .£2O per ton, and the price of bread to sixpence per loaf. — Press Assn.
