UNEMPLOYMENT IN BRITAIN
* DECISION OF LABOUR ORGANISATIONS. (Rec. January 12, 7.30 p.m.) London, January 11. A joint meeting of the Parliamentary Committee of the Trade Union Congress and the National Executive of the Labour Party decided unanimously to refuse to co-operate with tile Governments Committee on Unemployment. The meeting also refused to sanction the short time proposal, and summoned a national conference for January. 27 to consider independent proposals to deal with unemployment. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
