WAIKATO COAL MINES
OUTPUT INCREASING DAILY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, January 12. The Taupiri and Itotowaro coalmines are working steadtiy, but have not been fully manned since the holidays, this being due to some of the mineis having extended I'heir holidays. The Taupin Company, however, expects to have a full complement of men by the beginning of next week. Since work was resumed, the miners have been drifting back to the mines, and the output of coal has been showing a steady daily increase. The mines are being kept fully supplied with coal trucks, and should this- lie maintained coal merchants and. industries dependent upon the AVaikato coal mines for supplies should be able to accumulate stocks in the near future. “
