The Shnh opened an' extraordinary Council meeting in the Palace, at which members of the Government outlined tho desperate situation of the country, as menaced externally from the north, and without internal resources. , They also spoko of the recent British Note. The meeting declined to accede to tho Gov-ernnH-nt's proposal to elect a Commission to share responsibility with the Cabinet till Parliament meets, and decided that Parliament should meet immediately to deal with the situation. As the elections have been practically completed, it is expected that the Parliament will meet by the New Year.—Renter.
