numbering about 30,000. Constantinople and the neighbouring districts are unable to accommodate ilie great migration from the Crimea, and it is believed that Britain has proposed that the refugees should lx> taken to tho north coast of Africa, where 'permanent wilonies may bo established on a self-sustaining basis. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. WRANGEL'S ARMY CAMP OP THE REFUGEES AT CHATALDJA. Constantinople, November 28. The French have established a camp of refugeees from Wrangel's . Army at Chataldja. This is interpreted as a precaution against a possible Red invasion via, Rumania, perhaps with the assistance of Kemal's forces from Asia Minor. The refugees will also enter and reconstruct the defences of Adrianople and otiher fortifications on the Thracian front.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn., WRANGEL EXPECTED AT BELGRADE. Belgrade, November 28. MENT. (Roc. November 29, 5.5 p.m.) Tokio, November 28. ■ Advices from Vladivostok states thai delegates who have returned from Chita complain of the treatment they received, and express doubts whether a constituent Assembly will be called. Unification is expected to be only formal. The peasants' delegates included only two real peasants, while counterfeit peasants attended the conference armed. Many business houses in Tokio have closed, following the publication of a law making Chita paper money legal tender. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. LETTONIA AND LITHUANI V FORM DEFENSIVE ALLIANCE. (Rec. November 29, 5.5 p.m.) Copenhaasn, November 28.. Lettonia and Lithuania have formed a defensive alliance, and probably Estthonia will join them.
