Sir, —I .wish lo call attention to tho very ugly barricade at both ends of tho closed street between the Government Buildings and the Supreme Court. When the Government look the 6treet over from the City Council the rough fences* now taken exception to, wore erectcd» t, with many others, thought they would only be kept there for a lew months at the most.' But time goes on, and still they remain, an eyesore on the landscape, I often wemder why the City lainera have not protested and urged upon tho Government the necessity of replacing the present unsightly structures with something more in keeping with the surroundings.—l am, etc., CIVIS.
