LORD MILNER'S SPEECH PRODUCES GOOD IMPRESSION. i (Rec November 7, 5.5 p.m.) London, November 5. In view of the speech ot Lord Mllner in the House of Lords, in which, he stated that there i 9 no reason to suppose thai; tho Egyptian Nationalists are generally hostile to Britain or that the attainment of their aspirations is necessarily inconsistent with tho safeguarding of Vritish interests, tho Egyptian delegation' will probably postpono Its departmo from London. I In anticipation of a fresh conference with Lord Milncr, Zaghlul Pasha has stated that tho speech has produced a very good impression. Ho paid a tribute to Lord Milnor's ability and sympathy, and said Lord Milner had endeavoured to build tho Empire, not hy force, but by friendly means, despite dilhcul'ies and misunderstandings. Zaghlul Pasha added that he lias not abandoned hope of an agreemont, which all Egyptian patriots desired, granting independence to the Egyptians, ar.d winch would ho a permanent Anglo-Egyptian link of friendship.—Reuteb.
