Already the number ot tourists passing through the bureau indicates a busy period lor ./hotels and boardinghouscs throughout tho Dominion. Indeed, lack of accommodation bids fair to be a problem for the lioxt live months. Re-establishment of tho ■ old lines of steamer.traffic is partly tho reason why tourists are, arriving here in increasing numbers. In tiie world of travel, so disorganised and upset by the war, tho normal is returning, and with it the tourist. Seventy-five per cent, of those who pass through 'tlio Government Bureaux are Now Zealanders, and most of the rest come from .Australia, with a sprinkling from the Homeland and elsewhere. Many are making an early tour this year in order to avoid the Christmas rush, '/"his month the full tide is expccted, and from then until March there will be no slackening.
