The Incorporated Societies Amendment Bill, which deals with the incorporation of branches of registered societies, was, .yesterday? further considered in Committee bv the Legislative Council. Sir Francis Bell said: he had looked into a question raised on a former occasion. It had been suggested that the JBill might facilitate the creation of largo unions. Upon investigation he hatl found that there was nothing in the suggestion. The object and effect of the Bill was to enable such bodies as the Farmers' Union to incorporate their branches for tlupurpose of vesting, property in the branches.
