question was put to tho Minister ot ' Defence iu the House .yesterday afternoon vby Mr. J. A. Nash (Palmerston) rcgard- . irifr the carp of soldiers' Knaves in Eng. land. He asked whether any provision was being made to send a representative , to care for the graves in 'Codford and ! other camps. Sir Beaton Rhodes replied that the High Commissioner in London was looking a.fter the soldioT6' graves in all parts of the country. Letters had been received from him on the subject, and life > had Been communicated ivith by cable- ' gram when it was reported tlint some oi the graves were being neglected. _ The High Commissioner might be relied- on fo' look after the matter. He was the ; representative of New 7/ealand t on the Imperial W-«r Graves Commission, and had already'visited France and Belgium in connection with the matter.
