AN OLD MAN'S HOARD
LARGE SUM OP MONEY FOUND AFTER HIS DEATH. T3y Tolecranh—Press Association, Auckland,' October 18. An old man named P. Maitland, aged seventy-seven years, was found dead at the boardinghouse where he had resided for forty years. Among his belongings was an old box containing a considerable 6um of money, including old Colonial Bank ■ notes. The money included, 3GI sovereigns, 85 half-sovereigns, eight '£10 ,' notes, five i 5 notes, 2G9 .CI notes, and eight ten-shilling notes. The total amount hidden in the box was i'B2s.
