SUGAR SUPPLIES
The Hon. E. P. Lee, Minister of Industries and Commerce, was questioned yesterday regarding local- sugar supplies. The Minister stated that he had learned from sorernl sources that the grocers of Wellington were in short supply. The Hoard of Trade had informed him that morning that supplies were still available from some grocers,' and that the board itself held sufficient supplies for hospital requirements and specially urgent cases. "The whole of the present shortage," tho Minister said, "will be relieved on the arrival of the Navua on' Wednesday with 375 tons."
