TRAIN CUTS THROUGH MOTORWAGON. By Telegraph—Prcus - Abboolfttlon. Auckland, October 4. A suburban passanger traiii ran into a motor-wagon at the King Street (Newmarket) level crossing this morning, cutting its way through the vehicle and tosaing it. oil one side with its wjy wreckcd and minus its back wheels. The driver was tlirown on to a cattle stop un tho track and,, after remaining unconscious for a while, picked himself up in a bruised condition'. The young man concorned, Robert Skelton, who is in the employ of his father, a carrier and ccal dealer, was on his way. home from Avondalo in charge of an empty wagon when tho accident happened. He states that tha bell at the crossing, which is used to warn the pubuo or the approach of a train, did not ring until the engine was right on the vehicle, but it continued rinpng for some time afterwards. Tho driver and. fireman ot the engine escaped injury, as also did the passengers on the train.
