EDUCATION BOARD
The Wellington Education Hoard met yesterday, tho chairman (Mr. T. Forsyth) presiding. The Education Department wrote advising that the Government bad considered tho matter of subsidies rehttinc to school honours board. It had .weed to nay subsidy sulj.icct to suitable conditionu. It wan decided to ask the Government to hold the scheme open.

Tho following appointments of sole teachers were confirmed:—The Ned (aided), Miss F. D. Lloyd; Waterfalk Mies N.Ottaway: Drcyer's Rock. Miss B. D. Brunton; Sea View. Miss D. Waiti; Wairau Pa. Miss 0. M. Philrott: Jordan 'aided), Miss L. Aroa; Oiillcu Hill (aided), Miss Sybil Pike; Bulwcr (aided). Misa I. J. Farnell.
