HUTT FLOWER SHOW
Some elorious blooms were on exhibition at, the sarins, show of the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society, which opened in the local Town Hall yesterday. The Reneral cltFplay in attracting crowds of spectators, who are loud in their nraiscs of the finality of the flowers. The amateur classes were especially well patrqniEcd. The pot-plant display of Mr. H. Poole was very effective. Mr. T. Waneli aaain had an attractive display. The Hon. Sir Hcaton Rhodes forjnally opened the show. In tho Gibson Challensc Silver Rose Bowl. Mr. H. Poolo secured first place with 43 points. Mr. T. Wausrh (37) and Mr. Wcstburv (23) boinc the runners-UD. Tho narcissi trophy, nurserymen's class, was annexed by Mr. T. Waush. ■ Additional prizes presented by the B.K.S. ivere won by Iters. T. ATauprh (silver medal). "Lord Kitchener": H..Poole (special prize for non-trumpet narcissi in show), "yicetwins": T. V/aush (special prize for lons-truiuuet narcissi in show), 'Tlobert Sydenham." In the decorativo class Fnccial mention was made of the work of Miss Nola Qau•din, whose flower-covered model aeroplano was really excellent.
