FOREIGN SECURITIES CANNOT BE ABSORBED. (Rcc. September 12, 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, September 11, The Canadian Minister of Finance 'has issued a statement that owing to the adverse trade balance, Canadian banks hfiVe'been requested to decline to facilitate the importation or carrying off of Canadian and other securities which havo been hold abroad. Tho Minister is of opinion that it is impossible for Canada to absorb foreign securities 'at the present juncture without embarrassment to the general financial condition .Every available dollar now in Canada is being used for tho business of the country, and particularly to Inanco crop move-ment.—Aus.-N '/i.
