TIMBER WORKERS
■ —♦ —— CASE BEFORE CONCILIATION COUNCIL. By Telcerapb-Press Association; Palmerston North, July 8. Before the Conciliation Council yesterday the Wellington Timber Yards and Sawmills Union of Workers' claims were heard. It was stated that uuy award made was to be operative throughout the Wellington industrial district. The agreement reached at Wellington operating within a radius of 25 miles cf that city, was adopted, except for bußii sawmills, and the latter dispute goes to the Arbitration Court for decision. Tho 6cope of the agreement- is until December, 1922, and the dale for it to operate is loft to the Arbitration Court.
