WIRELESS OPERATORS
STRIKE CALLED OFF. (Reo. June 24, 8.45 p.m.) London, June 23. The Wireless opera tore' Executive announce that the strike is called off, owing to the ({rave dislocation of the country's shipping, and the operators are securing adequate guarantees of fair treatment,—Aus.-N.Z. [It was announced' from London on June 15 that 6ea-going wireless operators had struck for an increase in wages to ,£7 per, week. The British Board ot Trade a few davs later issued instructions that vessels should be permitted to sail without wireless operators on condition that intending passengers were notified that operators were not being carried. A message published yesterday stated that thirty liners were Icld up at Liverpool owing to a sympathetic strike of firemen, stewards, and sailors, and it was expected that sixty vessels would be held up by the end of the week.]
