A deputation waited on tho Minister of Education (Mr. Parr) in Auckland recently. Mr. Parr has considered the natter and conferred wifih' the head of this branch of work upon it. It hns been decided that no more 'delinquent children are to bo sent to school from 1 homos in places where there is complaint. At Auckland, in deference to the wishes of parents, headmasters, and the Education Board, these children are not to he sent tothc State schools from the homes. 'Jibe Minister has dven instructions for the appointment for Auckland of a house, mnsl/er, with experience of such work, to teach tho children in tho homes. This arrangement will not. apply to other children who Jiappen through no fault of uh..ir own to. bo tho wards of the Eduwiion Department—the clluildren, for instance, who wero orphaned by the epidemic, ot who have been taken from the care of worthless parents.
