Auld pre- ■ sided. i ™ho Auckland Association wrote suggesting that their challenge match for the [ Brown Shield should be played at Wellington on July 4—Tho "date this agreed to, and it was decided to play the match on the Basin Reserve. It was agreed to' request the Referees' Association to sub- ; mit the naineß of three referees to tho Auckland Association lor this match. It was stated that no reply had been received from the New Zealand Association 1 as ta whether the holders of the Brown Shield could lodgo a chnllengo beforo they had lost the trophy. It was decided to write to tho association again, rcouestin" its ruling on the point. The Boys' fiub-Comimtteo recommended that transfers from cllibs to lower grades should not bo granted, and tho recommendation was adopted. The secretary reported that, artftneements were well in hand for starting the oohools'- competition, and that some interesting games were expected. The explanation offered by a fifth-class player as to why. he had signed on for two clubs was accented, and.it was decided to allow, him to play for tho club for which ho first signed on. Tho St. Anne's Olub wrote entorinor for the seventh division competition, and the Marist Old Boys and tho BrcikLvn Olub for tho fifth B competition —Tho entries wore ncceptcd. A letter was received from the Wellington Provincial Rugby Football Leaguo stating that the >?onl-nosts at Petono would be padded immediately. The Thistle Club wroto asking that a bye Bhonld be granted tho Thistle secondgrade team on Saturday. It waa stated that the team would not be able to put moro than' eight players in the field, as three of tho club's players had been injured, and three others wers away from Wellington.—lt. was decided, not to grant the request. Application was made by the South Wellington Olub that the fourth A team should bo withdrawn from tho A grade and placed in tho B grade. It was mentioned that at the commencement of the Mason tho chub entered two teams, and later withdrew the A team, but as no letter was received from tho association the club : thought that the association had decided to leavo the team in. and see what success it met with.—lt was decided to refer the application to the Boys' Pub-commitice. i The Diamond Olub wrote annealing , against the decision of tho committee of, , tho Wellington Asrocinlion in tho' Dlamond-Y.M.O.A.
