There Avas a iargt- attendance, and the totalisator handled £73,0J1, which gavo a grand total of £220,391 for the meeting, an increase of £14,523, compared with last year. Tho whole field was still standing up when the double was reached In tho second round, Old Mungindi being in tho lead. The top weight showed the way over the brush hurdle, First Call, Peneton, Omnhu, and Slowcoach following in that order. In the run up the back, Omahu assumed command, and the latter Bhowed tho way up the hill, closely attended by First Call. Tho latter had the beßt of it at the first post and rail fence, but Omahu beat him at the next fence, and tho son of Maniapoto was leading down the hill. He waß Srct over the atone wall. Slowcoach came along with great dash from tho head of the straight, and cutting down Omahu bofore the last hurdle was reached, he drew away, and won by a length. Omahu was seven lengths in front of First Call, with' Old Mungindi next. Time, 6min. 25sec. CAMPBELL HURDLES, of 500 sovs. Two miles.
