HAMPERED BY AUSTRALIAN DOTY ON FISH OILS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Blenheim, June 3. Tho Marlborough Chamber of Commerce to-night considered a letter, from Mr. J. A. Perano, of Tory Channel, pointing out that Australia ivas imposing an increased tariff on (lie importation of all fish oils from 1d,.t0 8(1. per gallon. This would seriously hamper the New Zealand whaling industry, as Australia was its chief market. The chamber resolved to write to flic Minister of Customs asking him to endeavour to induce Cabinet to communicate with the Commonwealth aul.!iioritie3 with a view to having tho tariff reduced or a preferential duty placed on New Zealand oil.
