Thb New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association is anxious to have Anzac Day declared a statutory close holiday, and a query on tho point was addressed to tho Prime Minister yostorday by Dr. E. Boxer (president of tho association).'when a deputation from tho Returned Soldiers' Association waited on Mr. Massey. Mr. Massey Teplietl that it was only a question of fixing the day. There had always been a question about tlifc right day to observe as a commemoration of what had 'been done in tho war. Ho had always felt that in every part of the Empire there should be some such day 6et apart. However, Anzac Day would suit him as well as any other day—perhaps better.
