■ HOSPITAL PATIENTS' FEES • REVIEWED. The Question of arrivin" at a uniform scale of patients' fees for all hospitals <vas considered by the Hospital Boards' Conference yesterday, at tlie instance, of the Palmerston North Board. In asking tliat the whole matter bo alaced on a more equitable basis, Mr. Hornblow, on ■behalf of the board, moved that all feed bo co-ordinated at JC2 2s. per week An amendment was moved that it be a recommendation to all hospital boards to adont a uniform rate of 3s. per week. The majority of delegates held that no alteration should be made in the existing practice, and on being put to the vote both tlis motion and amendment v.-cro rejected.
