FALL FROM A TRAIN
MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Taumarunui, June 2. A man met with a (shocking accident at Mangapehu about 2 o'clock 'his morning:, falling from the extra express from Wellington. It is surmised that Ms .head came in contact with a manuka stako, and when picked, up by a glow train after daybreak ho was lying in a pool of water and in a half-frozen condition. The injured man was removed to •Taumarunui Hospital, whore he lies unconscious and in a serious condition. His name is Charles Kelly or Kenny, and ho is supposed to be an employee of the. Auckland or Taihapo Freezing Works. He had in his possession a second-class ticket from Huntervillo to Auckland, issued to him yesterday.
