LABOUR'S BAN ON RACING
DLLERSLIE COURSE TO BE PICKETED.

At an open-air meeting to-night, which was addressed by .several Labour members of Parliament, it was stated by some of the speakers that pickets would bo stationed at tho railway station gates and at the entrance of Ellerslio racecourse to-morrow. It woufd be the duty of the pickets to "mark" members of trade unions attending the' races, mid report their names to their respective organisations. They would also use their persuasive powers to endeavour to induce intending race-goers to change their minds about going to Ellerslie. It is understood that the tramwaymen will refuse to run race trams, but will curry out all other duties in connection with the tramways service.
