Christian De Wet was Minister of Agriculture in the Orange River Colony from 1907 to 1915. He was Com-mander-in-Chief of tho Free State Forces during the South African War. He rebelled during the European War in 19H, was defeated, and taken prisoner, and condemned to six yeaTß' imprisonment, and fined .£2000.1
