SIR THOMAS WALLACE RUSSELL;. (Rec. May 3, 7.55 p.m.) London, May 2. Obituary: Sir Thomas AVallace Rus-sell.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Sir Thomas Russell was born in Cupar, Fiji, in 1811, and settled in Ireland in 1859. He represented South Tyrone in the House of Commons from 1880 to 1910, and North Tyrone from 1911 to 1918. He took an active part in the House and in the country against the early Home Rule movement, and was principal promoter of the Land Acts Committee in 189-1, which resulted in the passing of the Land Act of 189 U. He was Parliamentary Secretary of tho Local- Government Board from 1895 to 1900, and Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for. Ireland from 1907 to 1918.]
