SHIPS FOR UNITED STATES
BEING BUILT IN JAPAN AND CHINA. Shanghai, May 2. Fifteen vessels which are being built in Japan for the United States ■ Shipping Board have been launched, and ■ fifteen moro are expected to be ready shortly. Two 10,500-ton vessels, built at Shanghai, have already been completed, and. two similar vessels will shortly follow.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
