OFFICIAL TESTS OF SLAG WOOL
The National Physical Laboratory, near London, England, has recently carrie.l out some interesting tests of tho efficiency of slag wool as a covering for steam pipes. With a cover two inches thick, anything from 91.8 to 92.5 of tho heat lost from bare pipes was' saved. With a one-inch cover the'corresponding saving ranged from about 80 to 85 per cent.
