INTERNEES AND SCHOLARSHIPS
(To the Editor.) '-' Sir,—We, the undersigned, laving perused your sub-leader in this morning's issue on the subject,of a protest made by the Victoria College Gradii' ate 3' Association against the payment of scholarship fees to a graduate of Gorman birth, note that it is assumed that the cases'of all internees are investigated and grounds for such internment discovered. We would like to say we have had this particular case under review for some time, and have in consequence real grounds for supposing that'your assumption is not correct. We think that in view of our inquiry being, held up until the return of Sir James Allen, who has the filo covering the case with him, and there being a doubt as to the ground taken up in your article, fairness to tho man involved demands that judgment be withheld until such time as tho inquiry referred to is complete. Thanking you in anticipation,—We are, etc., FEED W. BURTON, The Salvation Army, HUGH MACKENZIE. , GEOEGE PETHERICK. ■ March 19.
