PRINCE AND THE CHILDREN
FULL MORNING RESERVED FOR REVIEW. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Sir Francis Bell), through whose hands all arrangements in connection with the visit of the Prince of Wales, must nnss, has approved of tho suggestion Hint the review of the school children of Wellington and the surrounding district* should take place on the morning of the Wednesday "His It oval Highness is in Wellington, and 11.30 a.m. has been fixed as 'the hour when the Prince will make his inspection. That will mean that tho children will have to he on the move an hour earlier than was flrst proposed, in order that each school may lie manoeuvred into its allotted position. It was further announced yesterday that the Minister had offered thfiuseof tho Parliamentary grounds for the children's review. This will work in with the idea of assembling the children on Waterloo Quay later in order to receive refreshments and afterwards •to visit H.M.S. Renown! It is thought m some quarters that the green sloping, swards of Parliamentary grounds will | orl J n htter and more picturesque frnme for the beautiful spectacle the- children wiH make than the drab surroundings of Waterloo Quay. Immediately after the review, AvWch should take less thruvan hour, the children could march in battalions down Bunny Street, and Waterloo Quay to the P.W. 2 shed, where refreshments will be supplied. , There was a doubt as to the space in Parliamentary grounds being large enough to hold the 10,000 children expected to be present. Some of the members of the Education Board's Committee took measurements yesterday, with a view to reporting on the matter to the next mcet--IDThe Prince will participate in no other function on the mormne of the Wednesdav referred to; Tie will simply drive direct from Government House to Parliamentary, grounds.
