There are said to be great rain-storms in the Colorado .desert during which a man may be out and not get wet. Tlie rain can be seen falling from tlio clouds high abovo the desert, but when it readies the layer of hot, dry air beneath the clouds it is entirely absorbed be'ore falling half tlie distance to tho ground. The temperature during these rain-storms often ranges as high as 128 degrees, Fall,, in the shade! Suicidal tendency is three times as pronounced in men as in women.
