TIIE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of tho Wellington Competitions Society was held at the Town Hall last night. Mr. V. G. Cray was in the chair. Tho balance-sheet showed a balanco of assets over liabilities of 1'321: The chairman said that a much larger balance was required before the society could achieve one of its chief objectives, by establishing scholarship.*. It was very regrettable that the Wellington City Council, which had received about ,£IOO in rent from the society during the year, bad not assisted in this matter.
