RECOMMENDATIONS OF SOUTH AFRICAN
COMMISSION
BOARD TO REGULATE PRICES
Cape Town, February 19. Tho Cost of Living Commission has issued an interim report, and its recommendations include the education,of women and girls in domestic science and in the art of buying; the establishment of market bureaux, and dissemination of information as to prices; Government encouragement for tho establishment of consumers' co-operative stores; rent appeal boards; Government importation of wheat and flour; fixing the price,of but-ter-fat at 2s. per pound; legislation to prevent speculation, and a board to regulate and control prices.—Aus.-N.Z.
