A CORRECTION
Sir,—ln your issue of December 23 there is a letter making reference to the Anzac Memorial Cross at Tinui. The writer has evidently been misinformed. I had no notion of the resemblance of the hill to Ilill 971, though I cannot deny that there is a resemblance, as I was not at Gnllipoli ' but still in New Zealand on tho first anniversary of the landing. On that occasion some fifty others and myself placed the cross on the hill in memory of the gallant Anzaes. I heartily asree with .Air. Norris's suggestion, but I think the above correction is necessary. I had already suggested to the local Pence Committee that tho cross 'be made a memorial to all from this district who fell (luring the war.—l am, etc., B. D. ASIICEOFT.
