Six descended within an hour- from Schiahorn and overwhelmed tho sanatorium and several .lai'go hotels, filli'ng the whole of the.floors with snow. Tivo bodies have been dug out, and it is feared that many others have been buried. Many visitors were imprisoned for hours in the upper floors, and )noirientarily expected the wulls to collapse. The avalanches fell in tho day time when most of the visitors were out of doors. Otherwise hundreds would have been suffocated in their bedrooms. Davos is isolated.
