THE FRENCH BUDGET
TAXES TO BE- INCREASED 50 PER CENT. (Rec. December 28, 11..5 p.m.) Paris, December 25. M. Kioto, (Minister of Finance), in an interview, said that the French Budget for 1920 would consist of two parts. The ordinary Budget would be met by Hie oustomarv sources of revenue, while the extraordinary Budset would be met by loans and indemnities. The Government, had decided to force Germany to immediately carry out her obligations to the letter. French taxes will be raised 50 ner cent.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
