It is announced, tluit'Mr. Rockefeller lias given fifty million dollars as a gift to the general Education Board .in order to increase., teachers' salaries, also forty-five million dollars for the advancement of science, and five million to Canadian' medical colleges. .Mr. Rockefeller's gifts now total 500,000,000 dollars.—Aus.N.Z.
