TERRACE SCHOOL SPORTS
Delightful weather -was experienced on Tuesday afternoon for tho Terrace School sports, held on Kelburn Park. The well-kept ground was dotted with 600 boys and girls, who entered with groat spirit into tho various events. The infants particularly enthused in their races. Tho following! was the result of the principal events:— 100 yards—J. Boyle, 1; N. Fordham, 2; S. Forclham, 3. 220 yards—J. Boyle, 1; S. Fordiham, 2; N. Fordham, 3. '140 yards—J. Boyle, 1; N. Fordham, 2j C. Mailman, 3. Throwing crickyt ball—C. Maihr'-i' yards). 1; J. Boyle, 2; E. ' Long jump—J. Boyle (lot . Morris (lift. 9in.), and C. Maih.-.j ... --it. 9in.), 2. Jack Boyle, securing the greatest number of poinfs, was declared tho school's champion for tho year, and his name will be engraved on tho silver cup presented by Mr. W. H. Lloyd.
